This project was started as a cooperation with the Cantonal Archaeology of Zurich and was finished as a follow-up commission.
The goal was to bring attention to a current problem in Switzerland, where large amounts of soil are being moved for new buildings and constructions, so that the soil can be used elsewhere for land improvement. The issue is that there are archaeologically valuable findings in that soil, which are destroyed when not previously examined by archeologists.
I created a brochure which highlights seven important moments in the development of the landscape – from its original state about 5’000 years ago up until the near future. These seven steps visualize the reason for the change in landscape as well as the importance of the archeologists work in this context.
The brochure was printed and will be handed out to different target groups involved in the soil improvement such as politicians.
